I specialize in custom wood art including business logo signs, family name signs, custom inlay cutting boards, and wall art pieces. Every piece is designed and finished by hand in my Perrin, Texas workshop using professional tools including CNC for precision. If you can dream it, we can likely create it together.

I work with a variety of hardwoods including walnut, maple, cherry, white oak, spalted maple, and more. Each species has unique characteristics in grain pattern, color, and durability. I'm happy to recommend the best wood for your project based on your aesthetic preferences and intended use.

Yes! Both custom pieces and available inventory ship anywhere in the continental United States. Each piece is carefully packaged to ensure it arrives safely. Shipping costs are calculated based on size, weight, and destination.

Yes. All cutting boards are finished with food-safe mineral oil and board butter (a blend of mineral oil and beeswax). This finish protects the wood while remaining completely safe for food preparation.

Custom pieces typically take 3-6 weeks from design approval to completion, depending on complexity and current order volume. Rush orders may be available for an additional fee. I'll provide an estimated completion date when you place your order and keep you updated throughout the process.

In-stock pieces listed on Etsy (steelandgraintx) ship within 1-3 business days of order placement. You'll receive tracking information once your piece ships.

All pieces ship via USPS, UPS, or FedEx depending on size and weight. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your location and the dimensions of your piece.

You'll receive tracking information via email once your order ships. Most orders arrive within 3-7 business days depending on destination. If you have specific delivery needs or timeline concerns, please reach out before ordering.

If your piece arrives damaged, please contact me within 48 hours of delivery with photos. I'll work with you to file a claim with the carrier and arrange a replacement or refund. If a package is lost in transit, I'll work with the carrier to locate it or issue a refund once the claim is processed.

Because custom pieces are made to order specifically for you, all sales are final. I'll work closely with you during the design phase to ensure you're thrilled with the final product. Design mockups are provided for approval before I begin crafting your piece.

If you're not completely satisfied with an in-stock piece purchased through Etsy, you may return it within 14 days of delivery for a refund minus shipping costs. The piece must be unused and in its original condition. Contact me before returning to receive return instructions and a return authorization.

Cleaning

• Hand wash immediately after use with warm water and soap
• Dry thoroughly

Storing

• Store on edge to allow to dry uniformly and to prevent warping
• If one side of the board doesn't receive sufficient air flow to dry as fast as the other side, your board will warp

Avoid

• Do NOT immerse or soak your board in water/other solutions. This may cause warping or breakage
• Do NOT put board in Dishwasher or Microwave

Maintaining

• Treat with food safe mineral oil monthly or when your board feels dry to maintain shine and to waterproof your board. (We recommend Howard's Cutting Board Oil, found at Lowe's or Home Depot.)
• For stains or odors, sprinkle lemon juice or baking soda onto the board and scrub with a damp rag

Refreshing

• When your board starts to look worn, don't throw it out! A little sanding and it will look brand new. The best part... Give me a call & I'll refresh it for you!

Unless otherwise specified, all signs and decorative pieces are designed for indoor use only. Keep out of direct sunlight to prevent fading. Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth.
